Loading credit onto your wristband before you come. It is the difference between walking in and being at the bar, and walking in and being in the cash desk queue.

Pre-top-up opens closer to the festival, after tickets go on sale. If you are on the list, we'll tell you the day it opens.
What it is
EMEC is cashless: you wear a chipped wristband that works as a wallet. Pre-top-up means loading credit onto it from home, with your card, before you get to the venue.
Why bother
- You walk in with credit and go straight to the bar.
- No need to carry cash or a card around all night.
- Top-up queues are the longest at any festival, and always at the worst moment.
- Whatever credit is left is refunded after the festival, within the stated period.
What if I don't
Nothing happens: there are top-up points inside taking card and cash throughout the festival. It will just take you longer.
